Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer to retire

Democrats finally got some good news Wednesday, and it came from the unlikeliest of places: the Supreme Court.

I can’t help but think of “I saw that going differently in my mind” memes with all the news about Justice Breyer resigning. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple so-called democrats holding up the process for the initial nominee followed by some contingent advocating for waiting until after the midterm elections before confirming the next justice. At that point the Republicans will be in charge of the senate and would just hold off on any nominations until after the 2024 election. Ain’t no shame in this game.
